The Big Finale
As their is no longer crit presentation for this project, I thought the best option for everyone to get the full pitch that I aimed to deliver would be through my blog.
The fairy described in shots 1 and 9 are seen by its trail of pixie dust. The fairy will be the driving force which opens the door in the opening scene. The characters within the scene will only move and fidget a little, they are on trial so they shouldn't move to much. Within this piece i believe it is important to incorporate other fairy tale characters in the court room to unite all fairy tales as there own complete kingdom.
Judge : the Judge is the character of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Giant and Jack : from Jack and the Beanstalk
The Spoon : from the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle
The Gingerbread Man : from the fairy tale The Gingerbread Man
The Dish : from the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle
Three Bears : are from the story of Goldie Locks and Three Bears
The Cow : from Jack and the Beanstalk
The Fairy : as found in nearly all fairy tales, traditionally they are tiny creatures that leave trails of pixie/fairy dust behind them. The fairy, following tradition a fairy trailed by its dust opens the door to the court room at the start and divides the scene at the end.
The adaptation of the united nations to the united fairy’s. The United Nations flag is the symbol of unity and common law for countries across the planet. The United Fairy’s flag is the symbol for the same thing for the fairy tale kingdom.
For my Transcription I choose to create a court room drama of the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk. The idea came from the reading two versions of the story, which appear to give to side to the story. In the first version of the fairy tale see's Jack as a thief, a boy living in poverty, who stole the Goose and Harp from the Giant. The second version of the fairy tale see's Jack as a Hero rescuing the Goose after she called out to him.

The End is Nigh
After a long weekend problems, I can see the light at the of the tunnel. After much trial and error and trying different computers, everthing rendered as it should. I managed to slow down the problems of fast animation but much is still out of sink with the sound. This is the last in my ever growing of things to do before the final checks.

New Opening and Endings
A Bad Day For Designers!!!
Today has got to the worst day I have ever had with projects. Everything I touch has gone wrong! Personally I don't enjoy posting problems and irritations about projects so i don't, i just work through and fix them, then mention then if its relevant. Today's problems are beyond relevant. Finished Renders are missing items which are turned on in the scene, lighting has gone bonkers and the playback speeds are wonky. So far its been on of those days that I wish I didn't get out of bed.
I am rendering the opening scene once again (about the 6th time) and physically watching it to make sure the items do not vanish again. What is happening is utterly bizzar, there is no rhyme or reason for the judges mic, chair and gavel to turn off. Fingers cross this render works.
The lights i think have just been an error from the organic life form behind the machine, so not much to say there other than to remind myself to check, check and check again!
The last major problem of the day is the most confusing off them all, everything has been set to 25fps throughout the project, the sound record, the animating, the video file rendering. Yet with all these check and the animation created to sound in Maya, the video files are playing faster than the sound. For this I need to play and figure it out otherwise nothing will fit.
Why is it always the last few days problems occur? no matter how prepared and organised you are.

Background Characters - Three Bears
Im Back on Track
All three characters are now fully rigged and ready to animate. The Giant is in place in the court room ready for animation.
The judge has all her blend shapes ready for speach. So far everything for the judge is working without too many problems, the only real problem comes when trying to scale or move the judege into place, the main head scales or translates double to the rest of the body and controls.
Jack also has a few complications. When the mouth open the upper and lower lips appear to
be attacked, all the usual suspects for this problem has been eliminated. there are no veritcies attached and the skin weights for the upper and lower lips are as they should be with out any weights overlapping. Before I can go any further with Jack this problem needs to be fixed.

Character Renders - Judge
To meet the style of fairy tale, the charaters should all be of the same style. The Judge, based on the American law programme Judge Judy, should also be of the fairy tale world. The Judge is designed in the traditional style of a fairy tale witch, green skin, pointy nose, mole/walts etc.
Details still to be added.
Major set backs !! :-(
A very productive few weeks have past, the script has been recoreded, the main characters have been modled, and rigged, and then an unfortunate event resulted in computer malfunctions. In the last week the modles and rigs have been recreated from the backup files saved on the external hard drive. script recoreding has now been rescedualed for tonight with a few changes to the script.
Forward Planing:
script recored by monday 19 april
facial belnd shapes by friday 24 april
background characters and lip sync there after.

Background Characters
Sketch designs for the background characters will be characters that are sat in the audience, these characters will be other fairy tale characters waiting to see the judge.
The Gingerbread man
The cow is based from the Jack and the Beanstalk story. It is the cow which Jack should have sold at market.

Bear design sketches for the three bears from the Goldilocks fairy tale.
Storyboard
The storyboard will follow the characters which are talking. The talking character will have the camera focused on them, the character may shift its weight or move its hands in relation to what they are saying.
In the opening the camera will fly in from a high position across the court room to the table of evidence.
