The case of Jack and the Beans Stalk

There are two version of the Jack and the Bean Stalk story, in the first, the original, Jack is a thief and stills the golden goose and the harp from the Giant, in the second, later adapted and censored for young children, sees Jack rescue the goose from the Giant. I think my court room scene will be the best place for the two version to collide as each characters point of view. The Giant believes that he is in the right and Jack is a thief and Jack believes that he is a hero for rescuing the goose.

In my latest scprit idea, Jack is a macho teen who believes he has resuced the goose from the clutches of evil, the Giant is a father and diplomat who believes strongly that the legal system will do him justice, and the Judge thinks that Jack is insane talking to a goose.
